"The glass of water represents the beginning of life and the dead leaf, the end of it. Both remind us that our passage through life is fleeting. Blue, a symbol of infinity, frames the figures alluding to the unfathomable mystery of the unknown. We do not know how we came to life, or what happens when it ends. The only certainty is that life; our life, sooner or later as it came... it will go."
